Parent Newsletter

No School
  The week of November 24th through November 28th there is NO SCHOOL.

No Aftercare
  There is NO AFTERCARE on Friday, November 21st.  Please pick your children up at regular dismissal.

Portraits
  All portrait orders are due back in the office tomorrow, Thursday November 20th.  If you had retakes, we will get you the proofs as soon as Life Touch gets them to us.

Budget Concerns
  As most of you know, the Legislature slashed the state education budget over the summer.  From all indications this is not the end.  In fact, we have been given information that we can expect another 4% to 6% budget cut between January and May.  With the 6% that has already been cut, that would be 12% of our budget for the year.  This would be equal to $600,000.00 that we will not be receiving.  Please know that we will be having to make cuts in our program if this continues. 

How can you help
  Princeton House will need your help, we will need everyone's help in order to continue the services we provide.  Our gala will be in May and we are going to need 100% parent participation.  This is our only fundraiser for the year since we could not get enough golfers for the golf tournament.  We are always willing to accept donations from families, friends, and businesses.  If you know of a company that gives out grant money, please contact Carol.  This is a serious situation and without everyone helping it could be disastrous. 

Keep the date
  Our gala is Friday, May 15, 2009 at Gaylord Palms.  Children are not invited so get your babysitters lined up. 
 
 

Used Uniforms
  If you have gently used uniforms that your child no longer can wear, please donate them to the school.  We are running low on shorts, long pants, shirts and sweatshirts. 

Board of Director's Meeting
  The next Board Meeting will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 11:00AM.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

Board of Director's Bylaws Committee Meeting
  This meeting will be held on Thursday, December 8th at 11:00AM.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

Holiday Needs
  We have many families at our school who are in great need, especially the holidays.  We have been able to help 11 families for Thanksgiving and now we need to look towards Christmas.  If you are able to help by donating a monetary gift, please send in your donation by Friday, December 12th.  You will feel great joy knowing you have helped another Princeton House family.  Please send your donations in an envelope and put Beverly's name on the outside.

Slow Down
  To a small number of our parents, this is a reminder that you need to SLOW DOWN and STAY OFF your cell phones while on our property.

Please Be Aware of your Parent Obligations
  We have already had to dismiss several students because they have missed two parent meetings.  We are also sending out many letters to parents regarding late arrivals, excessive unexcused absences and out of uniform students.  This is not a fun job for us to have to write these letters so we ask that you do your part to follow the rules.

As a side note
  We just wanted to let you know that Carol Tucker will be having her second "Total Knee Replacement" on Monday, November 24th.  Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
