Need Uniforms?

We have LOTS of uniforms in our uniform exchange.  If you need any shirts, shorts, etc. please fill out a request and send it to your teacher.  We will get the request to Ms. Oliveira's classroom and they will check to see if we have your size.  Apparently we have an abundance of clothing in smaller sizes so hopefully we can help you.  Please realize that it will take a week to ten days to process your request.

Student of the Month

Congratulations to our student of the month, Jocelyn Daniel.  Jocelyn is a competitive and dedicated swimmer.  She participates in Special Olympics where she won gold medals this summer.  She is an outstanding student in Ms. Mulvaney's class.

Bad Weather

We follow Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) as far as bad weather.  If there is ever a hurricane, please follow OCPS school closings.

Artist Needed

We are looking for a parent who is artistic and can paint a mural on a classroom wall.  This would certainly fulfill your volunteer hours.  If you are interested, please contact Beverly.

Behavior Trainings

Our first behavior training is Tuesday, September 15th at 6:00PM at the MSHS.  We will be offering 3 different behavior trainings.  It is important to attend all of the behavior trainings.  The first training will be about basics of behavior and how we want to transfer the behavior strategies  from school to home. The trainings will have momentum from the previous training and will have some consecutive components.  We will be offering childcare for these trainings.  Please call the office 407-523-7121 to schedule childcare.  It is important to sign up for childcare so we have the appropriate staff members here.  Childcare is $10.00 per child.

Grants

We have received two grants due to our parents getting involved and helping put them together.  Mr. Michael Morrison got us a $15,000 grant through Brambles.  Also Mr. Bill Lee got us a $2500 grant through Wachovia Foundation.  Thank you for your support.

Life Touch Portraits

Our school pictures will be taken October 7th and October 8th.  On October 7th, all students who attend the elementary campus may wear "picture" clothes.  October 8th is the picture day for all students at the MSHS.  Uniforms are not necessary on picture day.  We will be sending out more information as we get closer.
